Sir Jermyn Davers, 4th Baronet
Sir Jermyn Davers, 4th Baronet (c.1686 – 20 February 1743) was an English politician and landowner.
Davers was the son of Sir Robert Davers, 2nd Baronet and Hon. Mary Jermyn, daughter and co-heiress of Thomas Jermyn, 2nd Baron Jermyn.〔William Betham, ''The Baronetage of England'' (1803), p.58.〕 He was brought up at Rushbrooke Hall and educated at Christ Church, Oxford. In 1722 he was elected as the Member of Parliament for Bury St Edmunds as a Tory, sitting for the seat until 1727. He was the younger brother of Sir Robert Davers, 3rd Baronet and inherited his title upon his death in 1723.〔William Betham, ''The Baronetage of England'' (1803), p.58.〕 In 1726 he inherited the Jermyn estates, including Cheveley in Cambridgeshire, and Dover Street, in London, under the will of his great uncle, Henry Jermyn, 1st Baron Dover. In 1727 Davers became MP for Suffolk, holding the seat until his death in 1743.
He married Margaretta, the daughter of Rev. Edward Green, on 21 October 1729.〔William Betham, ''The Baronetage of England'' (1803), p.58.〕 He had four legitimate sons, two daughters and two illegitimate sons.
